Since 1987 the Mudslinger has been a fixture in mtb racing and the Corvallis Community and the Northwest. Started by a local group of mountain bikers (Randy Pratt was the official ring leader) and cyclists, this event started out small with only the first person to cross the line to mark times down for the rest of the 20 or so people competing in 1987. I moved to Corvallis in 1990 and in 1991 co-produced the Mudslinger with Randy Pratt until I moved to Bend in 1996 when Jim Fisher took over the Mudslinger. Read more

Bend's Big Fat Tour.
Conceived in 1994 by long time Bend-local, Mountain Bike Hall Of Fame Inductee and current COTA Vice-Chairman Paul Thomasberg as a non-competitive event that gives back to the community. The BBFT offers several options of guided and well-designed courses with full support so that participants can truly find and test their limits of endurance. Completing the entire "Epic" route earns the rider a coveted "No Whiners" patch of honor. Join us for the BBFT each year in mid-October for an unforgettable mountain biking experience. Every year the BBFT (a tax-exempt organization) donates a large portion of it's proceeds to COTA and other local, cycling-oriented charities. Click here

Do you have some old skis, clothing or bike parts that you want out of your garage? Donate gear to Repeat Performance Sports and name COTA as the beneficiary. Repeat Performance Sports is a used gear shop that takes old gear and resells it on consignment. They often have people donating a lot of their goods to the store and rather than profiting from the donations, owner Joshua Sims has named COTA as one of the beneficiaries of the program. Read more.
