The Trails You Love Need You.
Every ride starts with a trail—and every trail depends on people who choose to give back.
COTA maintains, protects, and improves hundreds of miles of trails across Central Oregon, but that work doesn’t happen automatically. It takes skilled staff, dedicated volunteers, tools, equipment, planning, advocacy, and year-round stewardship. Trails may be free to ride, but they aren’t free to build or maintain.
We need to raise $250,000 by December 31 to finish this year strong and fully fund the work that keeps our trails in great shape.
If trails have given you joy, freedom, connection, adventure—or simply made a hard day better—this is your opportunity to give something back.
Make your year-end gift today. Give back to the trails that give you so much.

New trails. Better connections. Thousands of hours of hard work.
It's been an incredible year on Central Oregon's trails, and none of it happened by accident. Behind every new stretch of singletrack, every cleared fallen tree, and every repaired trail is a community of volunteers, members, and donors who make this work possible.
Here's just a glimpse of what your support helped accomplish this year:
2.2 miles of new singletrack on Pine Drops! A brand-new extension connecting riders to Upper Whoops, creating more riding options in Bend's trail network.
Big progress in Sisters! Construction is well underway on Trail F, a new 2.85-mile downhill trail that's part of the STAR Project, which is part of a larger project to bring 15.5 miles of new mountain bike trails to Sisters.
New life for old favorites! From fresh reroutes on Storm King to more than 100 volunteer hours restoring Duodenum, crews have been hard at work improving the trails you know and love.
More accessible riding at Cline Butte! Four new ride-over cattle guards installed, making it easier for riders, especially those using adaptive mountain bikes, to navigate the trail system.
Hundreds of trees cleared! Our volunteers logged more than 1,195 hours clearing fallen trees in just the first half of the year, while our volunteer crews across Central Oregon tackled brushing, drainage, tread repairs, and ongoing maintenance all season long.
And that's only part of the story. Behind the scenes, COTA has continued advocating for trail access, working with land managers, training volunteers, and planning the next generation of trails.
This is what your donation makes possible.
Every dollar is an investment in the trails you ride, the people who care for them, and the mountain biking community that makes Central Oregon special.
We're asking you to help us finish 2026 strong. Make your year-end gift by December 31.
