Welcome to the Membership Matching Society

Committed to growing our trail community

The Membership Matching Society is a group of committed COTA supporters who provide matching funds to grow our membership base each spring. By doubling the impact of new memberships, the Society helps bring more people into the community and strengthens support for trails.

Matching funds are powerful because they create momentum. When people see others stepping up, they’re more likely to join in—and knowing their dollars go twice as far makes it an easy yes.

People give when they see others giving. Matching makes that visible—and turns every $30 into $60 for trails. Anyone can be part of COTA’s Membership Matching Society, and there’s no minimum to give.

Join the Society

You can join the Membership Match Society by pledging today. Your contribution can be fulfilled later in the year at a time that works best for you.

Pledges can be made between January 1 and April 20 annually.

Many donors request grants from their donor-advised funds, some send checks, and a few even make credit card donations.

Pledge now, give later

Matching contributions support COTA’s general operations, helping us maintain and build trails across Central Oregon. Gifts are unrestricted unless otherwise specified by the donor.

Where your gift goes

Pledged funds will be used to match new COTA memberships during the spring drive, up to the total amount committed by the Membership Match Society. For campaign messaging, each new membership is matched at a baseline value of $30, even if a member chooses to give more.

Matching funds will be collected and applied within the current calendar year unless otherwise arranged.

To join the Society: contact our Development Director by clicking the button above. We will record your pledge and add it to the current year’s matching funds.
