Get Involved
COTA is a non-profit organization that focuses on the development, protection, and enhancement of the Central Oregon mountain biking experience. This goal is achieved through trail stewardship, advocacy, collaboration, and education. COTA has 6 chapters, that collectively maintain over 500 miles of singletrack trails!
-
As a 501c3, COTA is 100% privately funded through grants, corporate sponsors, membership dues, events, and individual donors.
It costs up to $50-70k to build a single mile of trail and up to $5k to maintain a single mile of trail.
Every financial contribution is valued as an important foundation for COTA’s success and is tax-deductible.At this time we do not receive any federal/state/government funding outside of competitive grants. This means we rely on membership, donation and grants for our sole operational budget.
-
Join the COTA community of mountain bike enthusiasts and show Land Managers that the community is invested in our local trail systems.
Yearly membership includes:
- A COTA sticker
- Chance to show funders and land managers that you are invested in trails
- Shared stoke in communityMembership is a wonderful way to support the trails we all love to ride. As well as we use our membership numbers to show donors, grantors and land managers the community we represent!
-
The bulk of COTA’s work is done through the hands of our volunteers. Over 18,000 hours are logged annually supporting trail work, resource development, event planning, advocacy relationship building and sustainability.
Contribute your skills, passion, and inspiration to continue COTA’s success.
